NOW USING GUIDED PEMF AND RED LIGHT THERAPY IN ALL SESSIONS.

Pain to Performance Solutions is located at Campus Office Park in Bellevue, WA.

There is ample parking in front and around the building.  Once you park, go to the front door and come in. If the massage practitioner is still in an appointment; have a seat, otherwise, they will be waiting to meet with you.

Please consider traffic, and allow ample driving time to ensure that you are punctual. If you are a new client, please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment for your consultation. You health history intake form is done online so you will not need to do it at the office. If you are a repeat client, arrive 5-10 minutes early, we still need to do a short consultation. Unfortunately, we regret that if you are late, we cannot add additional time to your appointment unless there is allowable space and time. Your bill will reflect charges for the additional time.

In the professional practice of massage therapy, the standard is to take 5 minutes off to get undressed and 5 minutes off to get dressed. We try to limit this as much as we can so that you have in a 1 hour session 50 minutes hands on. Your consultation and assessments’ are part of your session time, but payment is not. So please arrive slightly early for payment and if you might need a longer consultation. Unfortunately, if you are late, we will not be able to extend your time because we usually have another client after you. If there is time, an increase in the fee will apply. We are on time for you, so please be on time for us. We understand things happen at times and will take into consideration.

Everybody is different! On average, the effectiveness of our massages should last 4-14 days, depending on your situation. Some clients may need to be seen 2-3 times per week, but others may only need 1-2 time per week. You can come every day if you want. Each case is different, but on average, regular massage therapy maintenance of 1 time per week is recommended for the therapeutic benefits to work. If you stretch the limits to 1-2 times per month, your muscles have usually returned back to their original tightness in-between visits, forcing us to start over again.

Unless you had an accident or recent injury, your pain did not just get there overnight. By the time pain and tightness is noticeable, it has been developing for years, extending into the third and fourth layers of muscle. Whether it takes one or multiple sessions for you to feel improvement will depend on the severity of your condition and what is happening internally. If you do not keep up with regular visits, the pain will return as muscle memory will allow them to tighten again easily.

While we may relieve your pain quickly, this doesn’t mean your tissues are in a healthy state. Improving your muscles’ health requires a long-term treatment plan and a regular visiting schedule. Muscle tightness is believed to be hereditary and likely began at a young age. It is probable that your parents suffer from the same areas of pain and tightness and may even have similar posture problems. In order to get past your myoskeletal predisposition, we have to be consistent.

There is a reason the state requires any massage or bodywork treatments to be performed by a Licensed Massage Therapist, unless one is a chiropractor, physical therapist, Occupational Therapist, Acupuncturist, MD, or a nurse working under a MD. In addition, do not confuse personal training, physical therapy, chiropractic, physical therapy and occupational therapy with massage. We are regulated under a separate health department’s licensing and certification, but work together. It is about your health and wellness being the top priority so that you are not made ill or injured by untrained frauds. Don’t be fooled by fancy unlicensed trademark names. They may have some self-taught knowledge, or they may have some past or present formal education, but have not met the state’s requirements to safely administer massage therapy or bodywork. If they had, they would be licensed as the requirements are minimal for those with the proper and necessary credentials to perform Massage Therapy and Bodywork. Do not settle for less than the highest quality licensed professional when it comes to your body. You only have one!

We accept 1st party PIP Personal Injury Protection, private L&I, and WA State L&I Labor and Industry. We also accept credit cards that are linked to an HSA Health Savings Account and FSA Flexible Savings Account. All insurance must be prior verified before your session.

Did you know you can put away up to $3000 a year pre-taxes into your health savings account to use for non-covered healthcare, such as massages? A doctor’s note is not required.

For major medical health insurance coverage that we are not in-network with and that you do not have out of network benefits; we provide a Super Bill with appropriate CPT codes and documentation in order for you to submit to your insurance company for your possible reimbursement. We do not accept HMO, Medicare, and Medicaid since most of those do not cover massage therapy.

Remember insurance coverage for massage is meant for “rehabilitation of injuries or dysfunction” which means you need a prescription otherwise your insurance company may not authorize or they may deny coverage. Massage coverage benefits are not meant for maintenance, wellness massage nor relaxation. When a prescription is written it also has a diagnosis which means we work on only the area of diagnosis.

Most bodywork sessions we offer do not require you to remove your clothing. You will be wearing either gym clothes or yoga clothes. This allows for testing, assessments, movement, treatment, and any stretching needed to be done without exposing you. The kind of work we do you may be getting up and done for some parts of the session depending on what you are scheduled for. We have a few treatments that might require you to disrobe, such as Mild Lymphatic Drainage, Cupping Therapy, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, hot Bamboo Therapy, Fascia Blasting, and any other massage that lotion or oil is used.

NOTICE: For the session that does require draping, professional draping is used. We run a professional massage therapy practice and abide by all professional codes of ethics per American Massage Therapy Association, Washington Department of Health, Washington, Seattle, Bellevue and King’s county law, Texas Department of State Health Services, Harris County and Texas Law. Our massage sessions are 100% professional. Please do not ask for any of “those” types of services; all services considered inappropriate by the Washington Health Department and Texas Department of State Health Services are PROHIBITED at PTPS. Any conduct deemed inappropriate and/or offensive, including overly personal topics of conversation, will result in the immediate termination of your session; you will be charged for the full session.

We require a credit card to secure your appointment. Unfortunately, due to no-show-no-calls, cancellations, and re-schedulers, we require a card number to ensure all clients have an opportunity to schedule a massage instead of keeping spots for those who do not show up. We understand that unexpected situations and illnesses occur. Please see our cancellation and reschedule policy on that.

Please cancel or reschedule  within 72 hours/3 days to avoid any cancelation-reschedule fee. In order to cancel-reschedule, you will log into your JaneApp accouunt wth Pain to Performance Solutions and handle it there. Your reminder goes out 4 days in advance, so as long as you log in prior to 72 hours you will be able to complete it yourself. AFter 72 hours you will not be able to complete is and will have to connact us to do it for you. If less then 72 hours there is a 25% fee as agreed to with your credit card on file, less then 48 hours is 50% of the fee and less then 24 hours it is 100% fee or your program of care. If you are past the 72 hours please test us ASAP, e-mailing and calling is not a good way to do this because we may not see it until much later than needed. If an appointment is scheduled the same day, a proper cancellation notice will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We understand sometimes the appointment is made the same day and at the last minute, but please keep in mind that when you take up space, we cannot fill it with someone else who wants it, and when you cancel and reschedule (with less then 3 days), it hurts the business, creates scheduling issues and an inability to get patients in who need to be seen. In addition, any change to a reduction of time for your appointment must be done 48 hours in advance; otherwise, you will be responsible for the full amount of the original schedule fees for the time booked unless the therapist deems you do not need the full length of the session. We always are whiling to hear out your situation as we understand sometimes life happens.

No-shows-no-calls are not tolerated and will be charged the full amount of the regular priced appointment the same day it happens with the credit card used for scheduling. If you have a program of care we will use that. We understand that sometimes you might forget, but if it happens more than one time, the party will be blocked from future booking online and with our clinic and will need to call. This includes if we can not collect the fee!

There are no refunds for any services or items purchased at the clinic.

We accept and appreciate tips as a way of showing your gratitude for a job well done. A tip is customarily given if you like our service and feel we did a good job.
