What is Myofascial Release Therapy?

Myofascial release is a type of physical therapy often used to treat myofascial pain syndrome.

Myofascial pain syndrome is a chronic pain disorder caused by sensitivity and tightness in your myofascial tissues. These tissues surround and support the muscles throughout your body.

The pain usually originates from specific points within your myofascial tissues called “trigger points.”

We use both direct and indirect MFR depending on how much pressure the client chooses. Sustained light or heavy pressure is applied to the fascia to lengthen and soften it.

How is Myofascial Release Therapy performed?

Our therapist’s goal is to improve the lives and wellbeing of our clients.

That is why we always perform a thorough evaluation before starting treatment.

Myofascial Release is a wonderful option for nearly everyone because it can be tailored to suit those who enjoy light to heavy pressure on the fascia.

Our therapists are also trained to identify the specific area that is the culprit for our client’s pain and release the compensatory fascia. It is far less effective to release inhibited areas.

We use NeuroKinetic Therapy to identify these areas to ensure maximum benefit to our clients.

Why is Myofascial Release Therapy right for me?

Myofascial Release is absolutely wonderful for those suffering from depression, lack of sleep, reduced mobility, and anxiety.

Our clients have reported that they feel like MFR has helped to give them an improved quality of life!
