NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) is a specific muscle testing protocol used during the massage designed to stimulate the body-brain complex to resolve injury, stress and pain through reprogramming the motor control center. NKT goes to the source of the problem by reprogramming dysfunctional movement patterns that are stored in the brain. The protocol identifies the muscle that is the source of the problem in order to resolve the symptom through use of corrective movement. By doing NKT therapy muscle testing for the inhibited non functioning muscles that are not firing we can determine which muscles are overworked facilitated muscles and release them with certain advanced massage techniques.
Overworked muscles are normally tight and doing all the work for the non functioning muscles and by determining which ones are not functioning though NKT and activating those the client experiences superior improvement and relief. When a muscle is not functioning that means it is not firing when it should and other muscles have to pick up the slack and this causes pain and soreness from overuse.
No matter what type of technique we use to release the muscle, Neurokinetic therapy can be used along with it at the start of the session. It takes approximately 5-15 minutes maximum and will be the start to possible permanent relief. One just has to decide if what is important; is it just to feel better for the moment and maybe a week or two with not ever being almost 100% better or you want to embark on relief that lasts.
